© Provided by GamesRadar Fortnite Helicopters We're getting well stuck in to the new season now, which means the time has come around again for a new set of Fortnite patch notes to tell us what changes have been made to gameplay, as well as any updates to the map, fresh skins, emotes, and more. We're seeing the battle between the forces of GHOST and SHADOW continue, although what it all means to the ongoing Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 lore remains to be seen. As always, Epic are remaining cagey with their updates on what's being altered in Fortnite, so we're here to pull together all of the latest Fortnite patch notes for Season 2.

The biggest Fortnite patch notes update for v12.20 is of course the addition of Fortnite helicopters, with this new vehicle allowing players to go airborne with their whole squad in tow for the first time since the controversial planes were removed several seasons ago. Look out for helipads at Agency bases and Fortnite SHADOW safe houses, among other locations, if you want to take to the skies and fly between locations.
In terms of map updates, there's now an oil slick around The Rig in the southwest corner, and you may need to revisit this area to remove the fog from your map. What effect this may have on gameplay in that area, or beyond if the oil continues to spread, remains to be seen.

You can also name and save preset combinations of outfits, back bling, harvesting tools, gliders, and wraps, and quickly switch between them without having to change each individual option.
Dataminers have found a selection of new skins in the game files, including blue liquid Slurp versions of favourite outfits such as Jonesey, Bandolette, and Leviathan, as well as a number of spy costumes. This ties in to the leaked upcoming Spy Games, which includes the new Operation: Dropzone LTM where players can use a Tech system to unlock perks and gadgets to help them towards victory.
